i can almost imagine how it felt for him because i too have been in that kind of relationships. he probably felt he didn't get enough attention or that he wasn't very important in your life. i know that sounds foolish from your point of view but people are different. you may not be able to give him the attention he needs but there are other people who thrive on giving attention to the ones they love. i personally need a lot of cuddles and hugs and i try very hard not to be too much of a burden on my partner, but at the end of the day i need my minimum dose. but my girl enjoys taking care of me so it works both ways. if he is hurt you won't be seeing him again, even if you do it won't be as good as it would have been if you hadn't ignored him. its not about the at all, he was trying to make up for your lack of comment by getting more intimately involved and convincing himself that you are worth the trouble. you rejected him again. the first one was when you didn't answer his calls or showed no dedication to him by falling to meet up on time. the best i can think of at this point is communication. if he doesn't want to then that means this is it.
