Was the Ark of the Covenant "just a box"?

NO!! It was the traveling home of God's written word! Inside were the two tablets that had the original 10 commandments(second printing). The first set was broken by Moses' anger.The ARK was made to hold and transport those sacred words. It was built a certain length and width and height according to God's measurements and desires!
